Louis Vuitton: Selfridges, Yayoi Kusama
October 29, 2012
We were thrilled to be asked by Louis Vuitton to produce and install the recent Yayoi Kusama windows at Selfridges, London. As part of the global Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama collaboration it was the first time in history that Selfridges had ever given over all 24 windows to one brand including the exterior and the Wonder Room space.
Louis Vuitton’s creative team worked with Yayoi Kusama and cleverly used the ‘Love Forever’ poem in both Japanese and English which stretched across the 19 front windows on Oxford Street in gold plated text, the windows also held mini Yayoi Kusama figures and hand painted mannequins to showcase the limited edition Ready-to-Wear and Leather Goods.
It was an exciting build, which challenged the team at every turn and was possibly the most intense build any of us had ever experienced, but the results spoke for themselves, it was a show stopping moment that we were proud to have been part off.
